Draper Temple

In late February we went to the Draper, Utah temple. We took our wonderful neighbors from the Philippines. It was their first time seeing a LDS temple. Mark and I were so excited to share with them the purpose of the temple & all the special ordinances that takes place there. I wish we could take more families from other faiths through the temple before it gets dedicated. It was such an uplifting sweet experience. If you know of anyone that would love to go, give me a ring! The following are pictures on temple grounds.

This past Saturday we had a family fun day at the park. I had Mark dress Eve. Can you tell?

FINAL STRETCH:

Well I have 4 1/2 weeks till our second princess arrives. We are so pumped and excited. Mama Vega will be coming out in 4 weeks to help out, can I tell you how excited I am about that. My mama treats me like a princess still. I believe that's where I get my goodness from, my mama! Her loving kindness, generosity & thoughtfulness makes me want to treat others the same. I hope my jewels will do the same. So much to do before she comes! But I won't get stressed! My doctor told me to take it easy because my blood pressure was unusually high, and we don't want her coming early. So to keep sane, you guessed it.......

Goals For March:

Juanita's Goals: My list is a little overwhelming this month so to sum it up:

1. Preparation, Preparation, Preparation!

-Mentally

-Emotionally

-Physically

-Spiritually

Mark's Goals:

1. Temple once a week

2. Taxes done by the 13th

3. 100% home teaching

4. 100% PPI

5. Study & Implement the compassion of the Savior

Juanita's Conversion Story

I feel that Heavenly Father has blessed me with the desire to play softball. The fact that the Lord was guiding me to play softball became more evident to me when I was offered a scholarship to play ball at BYU-Hawaii. The thought of attending BYU-Hawaii just seemed right and good at the time so I attended college there. My first year in college I was so excited to learn, play, and party. I discovered real soon that the students who attended the university had fun without drinking. I also discovered that the people were faithful and they had a strong sense of purpose and Identity. This compelled me to go on a spiritual search. I decided to take the lessons from the missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As I took the lessons I was taught things that I heard before and things that were new to me. Such as the Book of Mormon and the prophet Joseph Smith. These were things that were a challenge for me to believe. So I took these challenges up to the Lord and I asked him if the Book of Mormon is the word of God and if Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. I'm so delighted to share with you that I do know that the Book of Mormon is true and that the Prophet Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. I know that it's true because of the power of the Holy Spirit, because of these truths and much more I decided to be baptized and serve the Lord. Getting baptized was the best decision I ever made. It's because of this choice that I enjoy the blessing of life today. The church is true and I find myself indebt to the Lord forever.
