Cute Thighs

Eve is a trooper! She is making so much progress. It's been so awesome watching her grow! She is trying her best to pull herself up on things. Of course she falls frequently, but dang, she still tries. She seriously amazes me! This pic I fell in love with. I was laying on the floor and I saw this view underneath the coffee table, I thought it was adorable. Especially her little rolls on her thighs, which I must say makes me smile:)

Indiana and Utah Here We Come

Okay as you know Mark and I have been toying with the thought to go to D.C. for the upcoming year, well we finally made a DECISION. Hallelujah! Let's seriously have a parade in our honor for finally making a DECISION. We DECIDED to go back to Utah for a year, so Mark can do research with some professors and prepare for grad. school. So at the end of the summer we will be back in Utah. I'm so excited to catch up with some friends there. So excited!
So presently we are in Walnut Creek, CA and I absolutely love it. Our ward is so awesome. I met some really cool people, but I just found out that we have to leave :( Just when I started getting comfortable, I find out we have to leave. Yup, Mark's company is moving to Indiana in less then a week, and we have to pack and go. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggggggggh! I hate packing. I'm sad that I wont be able to see some really good friends that I haven't seen in such a long time, we were planning a real fun get together. Sorry Heidi, Stephanie, Lacey, and Liz. I really wish I could have been there SERIOUSLY.
Well I haven't been to Indiana before, this will be a new adventure. Oh yah, update on the photography dream. I have been taking family portraits these past couple of weeks, and it has been so fun! I'm still in the process of building my website. Didn't think it would take so long, but it is what it is. Right now I'm trying to pick a logo. I have some talented and patient friends who are working on a few for me. Until I get it up and going I'll show you a few pix of some of the family portraits I've done. Next time!

Fun Times

Eve and I flew to San Diego to See one of my good friends Nicole Huhem (mission companion/roommate in Provo) get sealed. I'm so happy for these two! She found the man she was looking for, Exactly looking for! We just love these two together!

This is Jennifer Neal. She was so kind enough to watch Eve while I was in the temple. It was really hard for me to leave Eve, but Jennifer ease my mind because of her tenderness. Her and her husband Matt (good buddy of mine) took such good care of Eve and I when we were in San Diego. Thank you again you two!

For my birthday we drove to Ashland, Oregon for the weekend to visit one of my good friends and her family (Summer Dawn George Oliver). I love her and her family, they are soooo much fun! And I really wanted Mark to hang out with them, and meet the family that had such a huge impact on my conversion. Also I was telling Mark if I can't live in Hawaii I seriously wouldnt mind living in Oregon. He ended up having a wonderful time and you know what else? He loves Oregon to. Yeaah!

This was a t-shirt Mark spotted at a store window. We both loved the message it was sending.

This is Eve and Maile (Summer's little girl). It's so weird to see our kids cruise together. Summer and I were roommates at the Animal House at BYU-Hawaii and I'm sure we didnt forsee these awesome moments we were presently spending.

From left to Right. Ricky, Maile, Summer and Kai. Kai is Eve's age but much bigger. I had a blast seeing those two play together. For Father's Day Ricky made some awesome fajitas, that I'm steal craving. I didnt get the chance to take pix of Summer's family, because I was so busy having fun with them.

I love taking pix of keiki's! Fun times, fun times! Can't wait to get together with more roommates. Soon, soon!

Happy Birthday Poppy!

This is my Pop's dancing with me on my wedding day. I know that was an emotional day for him as well as for me. My dad doesn't really like celebrating his birthday. Which I don't understand because he still looks so young. Well I love you Pop's and I just want to let everyone know why you mean so much to me.

-Ever since I was young my Pop's knew that quality time with his children was important. He would take the time to play with us. My favorite was Saturday breakfast dates. Dang, I miss those.

-My Pop's knew that getting higher education would help any individual out in many different ways. As a very young girl probably 4 or 5 he would tell me "now after high school you're going to college, after college you're going to get your masters, and after your masters you're going to get your PhD." He kept doing that through out my whole childhood. Soon Pop, soon.

-My Pop's knew the importance of involving his children in extra curricular activities. He got all of us kids in baseball and softball. He would come to EVERY single game. He was a great cheerleader not only for us but for our whole team. Of course no one would know who he was cheering for except for his children because he would call everyone else by the wrong name. Don't worry Pop, I still think it's cute even until this day.

-My Pop's knew if you could do it yourself why pay someone else to do it for you. The importance of being smart with your money. If we didn't have any baseball games, he would spend his Saturdays fixing things in and out side of the house. He had these pair of jeans that he would always wear on those Saturdays, with oil stains and holes in them. Simply classic Pop!

-Last but definitely not least, the importance of being spiritually minded. My Pop's has had many spiritual experiences and he would always share them with his children, over and over and over again. These stories would place a desire in my heart to get to know God more. Ever since I was little I had a desire to be closer to God. Thank you Pop's for instilling those desires in me. He's still on a spiritual quest to find truth, which amazes me! He always wants to learn more about God and Jesus Christ. I know Pop's someday in the near future, you will find what you have been yearning for. I love you so much then words can rightfully express. Have a blessed day and I'm just grateful that you were BORN!

Catch Up

Eve has been eating solids for a month now and she loves sweet potatoes. Which makes me extremely happy since they are high in Vitamin A and other nutritious things.

For Memorial day I got to spend it with Liz or better known in her family as Elizabeth. It was wonderful! I had fun catching up and just seriously chillin with her family. Which I must say are completely welcoming and sooooooooooooooo nice. Fun times, must do it again sometime.

Once a week we get to go to cuddle time at the library. A bunch of babies get together and the parents all sing songs together to their little ones. It helps with literacy development. So cute and so fun. This time Mark came with and I just felt so good that we did it together as a family.

Take The Time....

Today I took the time to be a 7 month old. Meaning no worries, no cares about anything else but about the simple pleasures of life. Eve and I just played on the floor together and it was WONDERFUL! We laughed alot together and I loved it! Babies are soooooooooo cute!
