General Conference

Twice a year the Prophet, Apostles and other servants of the Lord speak to the world at a General Conference. It is such a spiritual experience because we are revealed TRUTH by the Lord. The Lord uses his servants to convey his message. Every conference I receive insight on what I need to work on in my life. These are the following things that stood out to me this conference:

1. Pray with FAITH to open up areas that are currently not receiving the gospel
2. Be positive
3. Be simple
4. Keep the law of health
5. Avoid Debt
6. Save & be thrifty
7. Be modest in dress
8. Invite others to come unto Christ
9. Be as little children
10. Read & appreciate the Book of Mormon
11. Prepare to take the Sacrament by having a broken heart & a contrite spirit
12. Overcome despair with HOPE
13. Act & not react against adversity
14. Learn to laugh instead of getting angry
15. Trust God and Jesus Christ
16. Come what may and Love it
17. Have FAITH that God will fight our battles
18. BELIEVE in Heavenly and Earthly ANGELS
19. Seek knowledge
20. Be unified
21. Have meaningful prayers
22. Be a peace maker
23. Can't say nothing nice don't say NOTHING at all
24. Respond in a Christlike way
25. Have Christian courage
26. Use the Savior's name sacredly
27. Be virtuous
28. Live a disciples life
29. Find JOY in the journey, NOW!
30. Rather in dwelling in the past LIVE today
31. Express gratitude always
32. Live a Celestial marriage

And many more beautiful things. You can read for yourself and something else might stand out to you. They will be placing all those AWESOME talks on line this Thursday. So check it out at http://www.lds.org/ I know that if we TRY to follow their counsel the best that we can, we will find joy more abundantly in this life and be better prepared to be in the presence of the Savior. I Love you!

hey it was good to hear from you! i know what you are talking about. When Anna was born I was so nervous, I thought something was going to be wrong. We didnt have any of those tests done because we didnt want to know. We simply thought she is our daughter and thats all that matters. But it didnt keep me from worrying. I still worry...especially about autism. It seems to be so prevelant. I worry alot because i know it can just pop up one day out of the blue. I try not to worry though. But I will admit everytime she passes another milestone or she doesnt something unique I get so excited for her. Its ok to worry. You want the best for your babies. Its hard enough when a person doesnt have special needs. So I guess Im trying to say its ok to worry. We probably worry a little more than normal because of our backgrounds but its ok...its our job to worry as Mommies!
Well chica love you. Hope your feeling well.
