Besides me being deathly sick, miserable, pregnant and having to go to work to finish the school year for the last 2 weeks in May traveling east made me feel so much better. I was finally able to BREATHE out of both nostrils. My prayers were simple and sincere and consisted of "God can I breathe clearly today please". Mark was a trooper! He packed our whole house while watching 3 girls all by himself. That was no easy task to say the least, but I was completely out of commission those last 2 weeks. I still am in awe of the miracle of it all. He deserves a gold medal for the degree of difficulty that challenge was and I don't remember him even complaining. Anyhow 2 to 3 days on the road heading east I started to feel so much better. We stopped many places but I didn't take to many pictures, except this classic one in Missouri. We didn't realize the St. Louis, Missouri temple was literally on the way. We practically ran right into it, no joke! Eve peed her pants and she was not happy about it (as well as her parents). She almost killed the peace that was coming from temple grounds so our visit was short and sweet.
When we got to Kentucky we went hiking to natural bridge. It was very beautiful and uncle Matthew was a great help with the girls on the hike.
Mark was dying to go camping, so we did! We had fun being out in nature and sleeping underneath the stars but I think with this experience with the girls not appreciating as much as he did, well, let's just say we probably won't go camping for awhile. I think.
It was really nice seeing this guy in his element, the woods! I have to admit it was the FIRST time I actually considered living in Kentucky instead of Hawaii. The greenness was bright and vibrant, the rolling hills & mountains were stunning. I could actually see us living there someday, but who knows? God is taking us all over this nation.
