Doctor Visits

Went to the radiologists today and they got the exact measurements of the baby. They said that my new due date is

April 2nd

So I'm about 12 weeks along. Much farther then I thought I was. Eve's visit went well to. The fluid that was trapped behind her ear drum is gone. Her hearing seems back to normal. That was a scary moment for us.

This is a picture of Eve's ear after going to the doctors office. What had happen was that Eve had a fever for 3 days and I was giving her medicine to reduce the fever and it just wasn't working. One afternoon while she was sick I opened the door to check on her and usually she gets up right away because she hears me coming in. Except this time she didn't even budge. I then said her name and she didn't even move. I clapped my hands really loud and started yelling and she still didn't move. I quickly called Mark to witness what was going on and shortly after that we went to see the doctor. Except this doctor didn't know what she was doing. She notice some wax in Eve's ear, so she wanted to scrape it out. But what ended up happening is that she scraped the ear canal twice which caused a bloody mess. Lots of blood was dripping from Eve's ear and I was fuming. I managed to control myself and kindly asked the Physician for another doctor. The second doctor was amazing. They ended up not charging us for a few visits because of this incident. Anyhow the 2nd doctor was able to figure out the problem and treat it properly. Eve's ear is doing so much better, which brings a lot of piece to my soul. We decided to cancel our trip to Hawaii because of Eve's sensitive condition. I believe all the flying we did this summer contributed to the infection in her ear. It's hard for babies to fly.

The Shoemate's said...: April 12th! How exciting!!! Are you guys gonna find out if the baby is a girl or boy? Sorry to hear about Eve's ear. I know how painful it is to see your baby in pain or to even think that they might be in pain. Its the worst feeling not being able to do anything to help. Juanita's Conversion Story

I feel that Heavenly Father has blessed me with the desire to play softball. The fact that the Lord was guiding me to play softball became more evident to me when I was offered a scholarship to play ball at BYU-Hawaii. The thought of attending BYU-Hawaii just seemed right and good at the time so I attended college there. My first year in college I was so excited to learn, play, and party. I discovered real soon that the students who attended the university had fun without drinking. I also discovered that the people were faithful and they had a strong sense of purpose and Identity. This compelled me to go on a spiritual search. I decided to take the lessons from the missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As I took the lessons I was taught things that I heard before and things that were new to me. Such as the Book of Mormon and the prophet Joseph Smith. These were things that were a challenge for me to believe. So I took these challenges up to the Lord and I asked him if the Book of Mormon is the word of God and if Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. I'm so delighted to share with you that I do know that the Book of Mormon is true and that the Prophet Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. I know that it's true because of the power of the Holy Spirit, because of these truths and much more I decided to be baptized and serve the Lord. Getting baptized was the best decision I ever made. It's because of this choice that I enjoy the blessing of life today. The church is true and I find myself indebt to the Lord forever.
